“I’m your protection,” he says, standing so close that his exhale is my next indrawn breath.
If I flinch, his tempting lips will be on mine. But I can never let that happen.
Despite my logical reasons for not wanting anything to do with this man, his cologne makes my mouth water and the damp place between my thighs pulse. “I’m the only thing that stands between the Segreto’s hunting you and the shadow of the DeLuca’s.”
